Whatever it is, it all works now (and I found 'run as admin') So thanks for the input guys. Also note that "Run as Administrator" has been around since the first release of XP if not on Windows 2000. Replaced CD Rom (I thought it may be the problem... I'm still not too sure of the cause, but you can try disabling System Restore for the moment.
