Looks like the one you try to boot this kernel with is missing something. Its running Wheezy and BOINC 7.0.27 at the moment. It might take a while as their tasks are fairly large now (for a Pi at least). ____________ MarkJID: 54064 · hartacusSendmessage Joined: 6 May 14Posts: 11 Message 54067 - Posted: kernel:[12542.651959] 1fc0: 76fe6068 7ec5e460 00000d81 00000078 768b1000 00000000 00000003 7ec5e49c Message from [email protected] at Mar 20 23:30:53 ... this content
PI myself might try. So we can call that a success, but I would like to know where I made an error. Not the answer you're looking for? For example, on my system the source for the currently-running kernel is in $HOME/kernel/linux-$(uname-r) and it should be possible to use that as a value for KDIR instead of /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/build.

Identifying the error message in the log is the first part, that can be more or less easy in the plethora of messages the kernel prints during boot. Could this be at all related to the Explorer crashes I've noticed on my Win7 BOINC box (see recent thread)? It appears to be a problem with CPU preemption being unsupported on a stock Raspbian kernel.
